CISM students welcomed the start of a new school year with nine (9) students sweeping Distinction and Credit Certifications in the International Competitions and Assessments for Schools, Mathematics portion. For the 3rd year in a row, a select group of high school students attended the Global Issues Network (GIN) conference in Beijing early November. The massive devastation caused by Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) saw members of the CISM community actively channeling their efforts to relief and rebuilding.
CISM students immerse themselves in service learning activities and projects; they embrace civic responsibility while strengthening communities and solving real-life issues. The students act pro-actively and are responsible participants in the local and global society. They integrate meaningful community service to enrich the learning experience. Whether engaging in the Global Issues Network (GIN), Habitat for Humanity or Philippine Christian Foundation, the students serve to make a difference and advocate for change.
This 1st semester was marked by students respecting and embracing diversity and cultural differences in the increasing student population. A highlight was the Global Issues Network student-led Conference held in Singapore last November. Nine CISM students tackled sustainability issues and interacted with seven hundred other student delegates from international schools across the region!
